On July 29th, Project Smile SF held it’s first ever Oral Health Symposium at Bayview Hunter’s Point YMCA. The event reached over 120 people and consisted of dental screenings, guest speakers, oral hygiene instruction, dental supply distribution, raffle, children’s storytelling, and complimentary breakfast. This event was made possible with our partnerships with local dental nonprofit, Magic Tooth Bus and the Hispanic Student Dental Association (HSDA) at UCSF Dental School. Gathering community effort, Project Smile SF raised awareness for disparities in oral health among people of all ages.
